Covid-19/DRC: 7 new cases notified on Wednesday in three provinces

Kinshasa, April 15th, 2023 (CPA) – 7 (seven) new cases of Covid-19 were notified on Wednesday in 3 provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo, including 2 cases in Kinshasa, 4 in Haut-Katanga and 1 case in Kongo Central, out of 847 samples tested across the country, reported the daily epidemiological bulletin of the Technical Secretariat of the Multisectoral Committee for the response to Covid-19, which was received by CPA on Friday.

Since the beginning of the epidemic declared on March 10th, 2020, the cumulative number of cases is 96,023, including 96,021 laboratory confirmed cases and 2 probable cases. In total, 84,557 people have been cured and 1,464 have died.

The Covid-19 test is free for everyone in DRC, except for unvaccinated travellers who will have to pay US$30.

All provinces of DRC have been affected by the epidemic as follows: Kinshasa (50,949 cases); Nord Kivu (10,783 cases); Sud Kivu (7,061 cases);..
