Kinshasa, November 7th, 2022 (CPA).- About five houses washed away and « CECOMAF » road cut in two after the torrential rain from the evening of Saturday to Sunday in N’djili municipality, reported on Monday to CPA the mayor of this municipality, Abdoul Razac.« Indeed, the anarchic constructions located along the water collectors put the inhabitants of this part of the municipality in insecurity, while these ways facilitate the channeling of rainwater towards N’djili river », he declared.
He invited the company in charge of rehabilitating CEKOMAF road, which is already hard at work, to show professionalism in order to spare the population of this part of the capital from the worst.
The mayor was indignant at the disastrous caused by the rain, before sympathizing with the families affected. CECOMAF district is often flooded causing loss of life during heavy rains.
